This is seriously the best marinara sauce I've ever had. And its SO stinkin' simple. Its light, fresh and you get to just enjoy the taste of tomatoes!

1 28oz can of whole tomatoes (San Marzano if possible)
5 Tablespoons of butter - its why its so amazing!!
1 med onion, peeled and halved

Stick all the ingredients in a sauce pan and let simmer for 45 mins or so. Take the onion out and serve hot over angel hair or any pasta of your preference. You won't be disappointed!

I want to try this recipe! I had parmeasan chicken at an Italian restaurant in Philly the weekend we met Danielle's folks and the sauce was so light it tasted like it was fresh tomatoes. I've been trying to find a similar recipe ever since.

Butter is my best friend! I think I'm going to try this, but I am going to have to add in a little garlic. Just can't do Italian without it!
