Let it snow let it snow let it snow... NOT.

Its cold in Oklahoma. Its not as cold as Virginia can get, but man, this wind will just rip right through you. I am dearly missing warm weather. So, this is my ode to the beach. To the days we lived in sunny Florida, a 2 minute drive from a white sand, clear water beach. It was absolutely perfect, except for when the smell from the paper factory would whiff in over the bay and the stench would flood the air. Then all you wanted to do was puke. Haha, it really wasn't that bad and it didn't happen that often. We would walk for hours, collecting shells and throwing the baseball. I loved it. It was our first year of marriage and it was such a gift from the Lord.

Christmas time!

I lead a Biblestudy of mostly upper-classmen from OU. The study is through the college ministry that Eric and I are involved in at our church. I absolutely LOVE these girls and have so much fun with them. Lindsay is my co-leader who is a senior in the Nursing Program at OU. She is a joy and such a blessing to me. These pictures are from our Christmas Biblestudy where we just spent time together, decorating cookies and painting ornaments. I miss them already as they are all on winter break.

This is Lindsays ornament. She is SUCH a good artist. She makes everything beautiful

Aubrey - a senior who I have fallen in love with. She makes me laugh all the time with her dry sense of humor and practical outlook on life. And she also lets me borrow all her Twilight books.=)

All of our cookies!

A gift from Mom

I'm missing my mom. She is in Chad with Dad for their yearly trip. They left last week and I'm so used to calling her on my way to work each morning. Its been a lonely drive the past couple days. I feel her absence even more when Eric is gone because she is such an encouragement to me and always speaks Truth over me when I am feeling alone or sad. These are the flowers that she bought me when she came out to visit in March this past Spring. We planted the potted flowers together and then Eric and I planted the rose bush after she left. They provided so much joy with all the flowers that they blossomed. They were a perfect gift from her because she loves flowers so much. They reminded me of her every time I filled my kitchen with little bouquets.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra

We got tickets with some friends of ours to attend Trans Siberian Orchestra this past Sunday and it was SO fun! Its like attending a rock concert with Christmas music! They are such talented musicians and the lights were incredible. We had such a good time and it was so nice to do something Christmasy before Eric had to leave on another TDY. I didn't get to take many pictures because I got in trouble for taking the ones that I did.=)

There were 9 musicians, 4 electric guitar players, 1 violinst, 1 electric violinst, two pianists, and a drummer. They were AMAZING.

This was during the final song. There was fire, smoke, strobe lights, twinkle lights, rotating lights. There was too much to look at one time!

Christmas picture!

We took Christmas pictures with some of our friends the other week. These are just a few. The University of Oklahoma has a beautiful campus so we just walked around with the dogs and a camera. One of my favorite things, are the fun old fashioned telephone booths that OU had scattered throughout the campus.

You can barely see it, but there is a heart carved above our heads into this tree.

Ellen is getting so big!

The newest addition to the Miller fam

So, I initially wanted a yorkie, and what did we get? A rottweiler.=) Everyone, this is Ellen. She is so stinkin' great. Eric and I talked for months about what kind of dog to get. We just couldn't decide! We finally decided on a rottweiler for a couple reasons. One, with Eric being gone quite a bit, we wanted a dog that would look intimidating, but not necessarily bite everyone's head off that walked in the house. Two, rottweilers, despite their bad rep, they are wonderful family dogs. They are extremely loyal and very intelligent. Both of these traits have been proved with Ellen. A thirdly, we just think rottweilers look stinkin' awesome.=)

She is so smart, and extremely loveable. I think the thing we enjoy most about her right now, is how lazy she is.=) She has her puppy energy, but doesn't tear through the house like a mini tornado. She loves to sit for hours on the kitchen floor with her bone and just chill. She has even at times to be completely sprawled out on the kitchen floor, then attempting to just tilt her head over the side of her water bowl in order to drink rather just getting up and drinking like any regular dog. She makes us laugh. Here are a few pictures over the past couple months.

This is the day we brought her home. She was just 8 weeks old and already HUGE!

This is how she lays. Paws spread out in front and hind legs sprawled out in the back. I love it!

Massive paws.... she's gonna be a big one.

Hardly small enough to pick up anymore....

Love those eyes.

It's Miller Time

So here it is... the Miller Blog. We are so excited to start sharing our lives with you! I've been a little apprehensive about what to write for the first blog entry. We've been married for 2 1/2 years, living in Oklahoma City for 1 1/2, and life is just keeps happening. So, where to start? Right now, Eric is on a TDY (temporary duty). He left Wednesday and will be back in a little over a week. So, in the meanwhile, I've been trying to keep myself occupied. And since today is Halloween, I figured I would share my Halloween pics from work. We had quite the group and it was tons of fun for our customers. Love you! It's Miller Time!
