If this is how we work doing home renovations and projects, we could NEVER live in a fixer upper. It would take years to fix. We have had this set of table and chairs for over 2 years now. $50 off of Craigslist. Yeah, my ENTIRE house is Craigslist or a garage sale. We bought them with the intention to stripe and paint black.... like, 2 1/2 months after they made their way into our kitchen, not 2 1/2 YEARS. Actually just the table... the chairs? Well, for all I cared, they could go to chair hell if there is such a thing. I really didn't like them if you can't tell. So, 2 1/2 years later, we have FINALLY repainted our dining room table and have bought new chairs. It looks stupendous. We stripped the VERY thick varnish off (that is really really really hard work if you've never done it), sanded it down and then proceeded to paint primer, two coats of black paint and then two coats of varnish. And then let it sit for 1.5 weeks. YOU try not having a kitchen table for 10 days. It may give you an excuse sit in front of the TV while eating dinner, but that doesn't work in the Miller household since we do not get cable, nor do we have a digital TV or a digital converter box.... so dinner was attempting to balance our plates on our knees as Ellen circled us, sniffing and licking her chops.

Seriously, do you see why I was so anxious to get new chairs??? Some people can pull the country themed decor very very very well and this might suit it fine, but that is NOT my style nor is it my style to have spokes missing from the back of my chair. All of this to say, I am so excited and very very grateful to Eric who worked alongside me in the project and feel very blessed that I have the option to change kitchen tables if I want - I'm so blessed!!!

Hey! The dining set looks nice! Do you still have the old chairs? If so, do you have any way to bring them when you come out here? Mike and I still need chairs for our kitchen table, and if you could get them here, that'd be great! I know you have smaller cars, but I figured I'd check!
Hey! Yeah, there's no way they would fit in our cars. Its a bummer cause we would love to give them to you! I wish you could have them!

I love it! It looks amazing! Can't wait to see it (and you) on New Years! We miss you Millers. A lot. Quite a lot actually. Can't wait for the sleepover!!!
